Increasing our groundwater resilience with SkyTEM

My work as a graphic designer on the Hawke's Bay groundwater project was just the beginning! I've been incredibly fortunate to continue contributing to this vital initiative as it expands to other regions across New Zealand, including Gisborne, Northland, and the South Island, as part of a collaborative effort with GNS Science.

In this expanded capacity, my focus remains on translating highly technical geophysical data from the SkyTEM aerial electromagnetic surveys into visually digestible formats. For each new region, I'm adapting my designs to account for the unique geological characteristics and specific water management challenges.

This extended collaboration with GNS Science and various regional partners is truly impactful. By providing clear and engaging visual communication, I'm helping to ensure that the invaluable insights gained from these surveys are readily understood and utilized, empowering better informed decisions for freshwater resilience across all of Aotearoa New Zealand.
